It’s not about flipping a switch; it’s about ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability.  Our client, a nationally accredited Electrical Contractor, is seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Denver, CO. This position will oversee all aspects of assigned projects from commencement to completion. You will manage these projects in a manner that exceeds our customers' expectations and ensures that our work adheres to all company safety policies and OSHA mandated requirements.  This role has a clear path for advancement and requires a seasoned Electrical Project Manager with at least 3+ years of experience to be considered for the position.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Manage all financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting.
  • Oversee pre-con meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field.
  • Collaborate with prefabrication and design departments.
  • Set clear goals and expectations to Foreman.
  • Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns.
  • Manage all jobs closeout procedures.
  • Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement.
  • Provide coaching/counseling to Foreman.
  • Develop/maintain network of professional relationships within our industry.
  • Day-to-day tasks include, but not limited to the following.
  • Prepare and maintain Monthly/Bi-weekly Cost Reports (Profit Projections and Work in Process (WIP).
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Coordinate with General Superintendent on project manpower requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain Schedule of Values and Pay Applications throughout the Project duration.
  • Build and implement project schedules.
  • Create and maintain Change Orders and Logs.
  • Oversee and plan each Electrical Project with GC from pre-construction through completion on all projects.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and ensure that they are complete, on time, and under budget.
  • Oversee and manage daily project coordination.
  • Approve invoices for Vendor Payment.
  • Respond to issues for ongoing project RFI's.
  • Review addendums and changes for building purposes.
  • Keep and maintain communications between company and GC's, subcontractors, and owner/developers throughout the building process.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, etc. degree a plus).
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 3+ years successful Electrical PM experience (large job experience and OSHA 30 a plus).
  • Prior experience in electrical estimating is a plus.
  • Proficient in Accubid Anywhere or similar estimating software is highly preferred.
  • Ability to create and update a project schedule to identify when each task will be completed.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to lead meetings as required.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems.

Physical Requirements:
  • Some lifting (up to 55 lbs).
  • This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to pay a close eye to detail for accuracy.
  • Ability to solve complex problems in an efficient manner.
  • Sound organizational and time management skills.
